USE A RULER
While some of us are blessed with linear dexterity, most of us need to use a ruler to keep things straight. When working digitally, turn on your rulers and drag in guides to help you align objects (usually command/ control + R). Use an actual ruler to measure, draw lines and cut with a knife. Practice daily to add this skill to your toolkit.

VALUE
The lightness or darkness in a design as seen through grayscale. Color has value also, but the hue makes it difficult to judge.
