PROCESS COUNTS

Designers don't just think in finished concepts, they use a process to work through their thoughts. Begin with research, brainstorming and thumbnails- LOTS of them. Then work up some comps, talk with your peers, revise and talk some more. A finished design could take weeks or even months to complete. Don't rush yourself and don't be satisfied with your first idea. Start with design annuals. Try Communication Arts, Print, AIGA or Graphis.
